Krymławki

Krymławki ( German Krimlack ) is a village in Poland in the Warmia - Mazury. The place is part of the municipality Barciany in powiat Kętrzyński.

Geography

Krymławki located in northern Poland about twelve kilometers south of the Polish border with Russia's Kaliningrad Oblast.

History

End of the 14th century a manor was located on the site of the present Krymławki which had been created by Kulm law. End of the 18th century the village was with seven houses. However, the settlement developed hardly and 1817 there were still seven houses in which 81 people lived. At the end of the Second World War, the area was occupied by the Red Army and as a result of the war, the village was part of Poland. 1970, there were 87 people in 1973, the town was part of the Schulz Office Drogosze in the community Barciany. As of 1975, the village was part of the Province of Olsztyn, from 1999 then part of the Province of Warmia and Mazury.

The village is situated on a side street which north for about 2.5 miles to Modgarby leads. To the south, the road leads by half a mile in the Province Road 590 ( droga wojewódzka 590).

The nearest railway station is in Korsze where there are direct connections to Olsztyn and Poznan.

The nearest international airport is Kaliningrad, which is about 85 kilometers north-west is located on Russian territory. The nearest international airport on Polish territory is located about 180 kilometers west of Lech Walesa Airport, Gdansk.
