Krystal Meyers

Krystal Meyers (born 31 July 1988) is an American Christian rock singer.

Life

Krystal Meyers moved in 1998 with her parents and her brother in Tennessee. There, she regularly attended summer camps where they became familiar with the song writing. With 10 years of Meyers wrote first songs at age 13, she began to play acoustic guitar. For the first time, she was known by her song Anticonformity she wrote to one of the camps along with her ​​friend. In June 2005, she released her first album Krystal Meyers, on which also Anticonformity is heard. 2006 was followed by the second album Dying for a Heart. Their music is especially popular in Japan, where she came a few times in the charts, with the young people.

Style

The music of the first two albums moved strongly between punk, rock and pop. It can be found both rock songs like Collide, Anticonformity or Fire and ballad-like songs like The Beauty Of Grace or Sing For Me. In general, it is often compared to Avril Lavigne, Katy Perry and Kelly Clarkson. In their third album Meyers returned the skirt not quite the back, but left more and more similarities with the music of the 80's listening. Her style reminded earlier Avril Lavigne, but since their new album more like Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears.

Their lyrics deal with the problems of young people, fighting the superficiality and a good relationship with God.
