Krytyka Polityczna

Krytyka Polityczna ( Political Criticism, KP ) is a magazine (founded in 2002 ), whilst also publishing the new Polish left. It wants to create an intellectual basis for alternative movements and stimulate new critical discourses in the Polish public. It also aims at an organic unity between the fields of science, art and politics.

By February of 2011 were before 19 thematic issues of " Krytyka Polityczna ". The publisher published books by Slavoj Zizek, Judith Butler, Jacques Rancière, Chantal Mouffe, Bruno Latour and others. In 2006 an open center in Warsaw was founded REDakcja [Editorial ] - a place that take place in the discussions, presentations of artistic works, workshops, film screenings, as well as social and political projects are developed. Since 2007, pursued " Krytyka Polityczna " the goal, in collaboration with local stakeholders to set up almost twenty " Club of Krytyka Polityczna " organize the debates, social events and other activities outside Warsaw. Previously, such clubs are established in cities like Poznań, Wrocław, Łódź, Gdańsk, Kraków, Cieszyn, etc.. In the spring of 2011 also opened the first club outside of Poland in London and Kiev.

The Team

Founder and editor of the journal is Sławomir Sierakowski. The magazine gathered around him people who are committed to building a new left movement in Poland - undergraduate, graduate students, journalists, literary and theater critic, artist and social activist. The team of " Krytyka Polityczna " include: Paweł Demirski, Kinga Dunin, Joanna Erbel, Maciej Gdula, Dorota Głażewska, Agnieszka Graff, Julian Kutyła, Jarosław Lipszyc, Jakub Majmurek, Adam Ostolski, Joanna Ostrowska, Joanna Rajkowska, Stanisław Ruksza, Przemysław Sadura Jan Smoleński, Igor Stokfiszewski, Michał Sutowski, Michał Syska, Agata Szczęśniak, Kazimiera Szczuka, Magdalena Środa, Olga Tokarczuk, Krzysztof Tomasik, Karolina Walęcik, Blazej Warkocki, Przemysław Wisniewski, Artur Zmijewski.
