Krzęcin, West Pomeranian Voivodeship

Krzęcin ( German Kranzin ) is a village in and the seat of the rural community of Gmina Krzęcin in Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship. It belongs to the powiat Choszczeński ( Arnswalde ).

Geographical location

Krzęcin is located on a side street that runs through the southeastern part of the powiat Choszczeński and Smoleń ( Charles Castle ) in the Province Road 160 ( Suchan ( Zachan ) - Dobiegniew ( Woldenberg ) ) with Chłopowo ( weak forest ) near the border with Lubusz connects. In the village Krzęcin it crosses an east-west road connecting Pełczyce (Bernstein ) by Zieleniewo ( Sellnow ).

Station is two kilometers east location Słonice ( Kleeberg ) on the railway Poznań- Szczecin.

Place name

The German place name Kranzin is found only here. The Polish name Krzęcin comes once before in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship.

History

As well, as the neighboring towns of Schönfeld (Polish: Żeńsko ) and weak Walde ( Chłopowo ) there was Kranzin already in 1300 By 1945, the village belonged to the district of Arnswalde, from 1816 to 1939 for the administrative district of Frankfurt, the Prussian province of Brandenburg, from 1939 to 1945 in the government district boundary marks. Posen - West Prussia, Pomerania. With the August forest communities (Polish: Rębusz ) Hitzdorf ( Objezierze ), weak Walde ( Chłopowo ) and Sophienhof ( Przybysław ) formed Kranzin the District weak forest area in the district court Arnswalde ( Choszczno ).

Towards the end of the Second World War, the region was conquered in the spring of 1945 by the Red Army. Then the German place Kranzin was placed under the name Krzęcin under Polish administration. In the period following the German civilian population was expelled due to the so-called Bierut Decrees from the entire region. Kranzin was incorporated into the powiat Choszczeński the West Pomeranian Voivodeship ( to 1998 Voivodeship Landsberg).

Church

Before 1945, formed Kranzin whose church dates from 1910, a parish with the locations Baumgarten ( Probolno ) Friedrichshof, Griese's Farm, Highland ( Wyszyna ), Ludwig desire ( Sobolewo ) Marienhof mill, Sheep Vorwerk, Wilhelmshof and brickyard. Here surviving Protestant church members are the parish in Gorzow Wielkopolski ( Landsberg ad Warta ) in the diocese of Breslau Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland assigned. Parish seat is Barlinek ( Berlinchen ).
