Krzysztof Budzyń

Krzysztof Budzyń ( born September 4, 1957 in Srem ) is a Polish businessman and lay historian, who is particularly concerned with the history of the Srem region in Greater Poland, he is also the author of numerous publications in this field.

Life

Since his birth, he lives in the village Binkowo in Srem. After graduating from elementary school in Pysząca he visited Gen. Józef Wybicki High School in Srem; After leaving school he studied at the Faculty of Chemical Technology of the Technical University of Szczecin, where he earned the title of graduate engineer.

After high school, he first worked in companies in the chemical industry, in the late 1980s he decided to start his own company. In 1990 he founded in Srem one to today active wholesale company of household chemistry and cosmetics industry and in 1995 he expanded his activities to a chain store retailers.

Work as a regional historian

Despite his technical training and work as a businessman interested Budzyń of Humanities, especially history and literature, he also engaged himself with literary work.

He made his debut in 1981 at the Polish satirical magazine Szpilki as a writer of limericks. Since the early 1990s, he writes articles on historical topics at local newspapers and the magazine Pierwiosnek, which will be issued on Gen. Józef Wybicki High School in Srem. He is a bibliophile and collector of historical memories - old maps, documents, photographs, postcards, especially from the region of Srem, ie the powiat Sremski and the communities Kórnik and Mosina which the powiat belonged Srem earlier.

Since 2008 laid Krzysztof Budzyń Sremski notatnik Historyczny ( Schrimmer Historical Notebook), " a magazine for lovers of Schrimmer country," an irregularly appearing periodical, the articles on the history of the region and its personalities published. From Sremski notatnik Historyczny in which Budzyń publisher, editor and author of many texts, has appeared up to now six issues.

From 25 November 2010 to 31 January 2011, the exhibition " Moja Ziemia Sremska (ze zbiorów Krzysztofa Budzynia )" was in the Raczyńskischen Library in Poznan ( " My Schrimmer country - from the collections of Krzysztof Budzyń " ) presented.
