KSK Beveren

KSK Beveren ( Koninklijke Sportkring Beveren ) was a professional football club based in the Belgian city of Antwerp in Beveren.

History

The club was founded in 1935 and remained until 1948 in the lower leagues. 1966 KSK Beveren rose to the Second Division and Guy Thys was coach. Under his leadership, the KSK Beveren was promoted to the First Division for the first time.

The Heyday of KSK Beveren began in the season 1977/78, when the club was able to win the final of the Belgian Cup competition against Sporting Charleroi for the first time.
