Band History

KSM was co-created the Walt Disney Company with the girl band The Go- Gos. The Go- Go's were looking for a group to guide them and wanted to make the new pop band in 2006. Four youths were selected for after a casting. It changed, however, then the genre from pop to rock. With the lead singer Shelby Cobra, the band KSM was founded in February 2008. The Go- Gos were not longer with the project in conjunction.

On September 22, published in 2009 KSM her debut album Read Between the Lines, which was written and produced by Matthew Gerrard and Robbie Nevil. KSM is at Walt Disney Records, a part of the Disney Music Group, under contract. They were the opening act for various Disney stars, like Mitchel Musso, Demi Lovato, and the Jonas Brothers, but also from other bands like Paramore and David Archuleta.

Read Between the Lines, the first single and title track of the album was on iTunes Single of the Week. The Billboard Album Review compared KSM as an adult version of the Go- Gos, with the same " distinctively individual look, fiery stage performances and monster riffs ". It described the band as Avril Lavigne's " next of kin " with even more punk energy and thought that the skirt of KSM stronger and more real than the is by Miley Cyrus. Other reviews were not as positive as the band's sound has been compared to that of No Doubt and "restricted" the voice of the lead singer as Cobra and the " worst squeaky side of Gwen Stefani " means.

On 20 April 2010 it was announced that bassist Sophia Melon leaves the group to study.
