KStars

KStars is a free astronomy program based on the KDE platform 4 You can use it for any location and any date explore the night sky from your desk. It records the positions of stars, constellations, star clusters, nebulae, galaxies and planets on the screen and includes over 100 million stars, 13,000 deep-sky objects, our entire solar system, and thousands of comets and asteroids. The display can be moved and enlarged or reduced, you can identify and track how they move across the sky and objects.
