Ku Kaeo District

Amphoe Ku Kaeo ( Thai อำเภอ กู่ แก้ว ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Udon Thani. The Udon Thani Province is located in the northwestern part of Northeast Thailand, Isaan so-called.

Geography

Neighbouring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Nong Han, the, Chai Wan, Si That, Kumphawapi and Prachaksinlapakhom. All neighboring Amphoe lie in the province of Udon Thani.

History

Ku Kaeo was 30 April 1994 at first as a small district ( King Amphoe ) was established by Amphoe Nong Han was separated from.

On 15 May 2007, the Thai government had decided that all 81 King Amphoe to rise in the simple Amphoe status to unify the administration. With the publication in the Royal Gazette " Issue 124 chapter 46" of 24 August 2007, this decision officially entered into force.

Management

Amphoe Ku Kaeo is divided into four communities ( tambon), which in turn in 37 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There is a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

• Ku Kaeo ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล กู่ แก้ว ), consisting of the whole tambon Ban Chit.

There are also three " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
