Kubuntu

Kubuntu is a derivative of the Ubuntu Linux distribution, in which the KDE Plasma Workspaces are used instead of Gnome or Unity. The Version 5.04 and later was the first version that appeared in the Kubuntu. The word " kubuntu " means the same as "ubuntu " and comes from the Bemba language; the "k " is actually a preposition is in Kubuntu but only as an abbreviation for "KDE ". Currently Kubuntu is available in version 13:10 ( Saucy Salamander ).

History

In the first version of Ubuntu ( 4.10) K Desktop Environment 3 (KDE) was included only in the area universe in which there are programs that are taken only from Debian.
