Kumba (roller coaster)

Kumba at Busch Gardens Tampa (Tampa, Florida ) is a steel roller coaster from the model sitting coaster manufacturer Bolliger & Mabillard, opened April 20, 1993 in the then Busch Gardens Tampa. Kumba means something like roar in the African Congo language.

She was the first roller coaster of this model of the manufacturer. She was also the first roller coaster in the world with a dive loop.

Ride

The 41 m high departure of the 44 m high lift Hills leads in the 35 -meter-high looping through the center leads the rail of the lift Hills. On the other 1213 m long track are still a dive loop, and a Zero -G Roll. The Cobra Roll and Interlocking Corkscrews consist of two inversions, so that the web has a total of seven inversions.

Kumba has four trains of eight cars. In each car four people can (a series à four people) take place. As restraint system come shoulder strap for use.

Although Kumba has four trains, only three trains can be used simultaneously. The fourth train exists, so that the web can be also operated at maximum capacity when a train is waiting.
