Kumiko Ogura

Kumiko Ogura (Japanese小 椋 久 美 子, Ogura Kumiko, born July 5, 1983 in Kawagoe, Mie Prefecture ) is a badminton player from Japan.

Career

Kumiko Ogura was born as the third of four siblings in Kawagoe. In the second class she started to badminton in the sports Shōnendan, the Japanese equivalent of the German Sports Youth. Later, she attended high school in the same city Tennoji district of Osaka. During this time she participated in the Japanese Inter- high- high-school championships since 1999. In 2000, she reached in this second place in the women's doubles and 2001 with the selection of high-school championships in second place in singles. Ogura 2003 won her first international title in Scotland a year before their first national title.
