Kumlu

Kumlu is a town in the Turkish province of Hatay. At the same time Kumlu is the capital of the district of the same name. Kumlu lies to the east of the province and is adjacent to the Syrian government Aleppo. The city has 4,923 and the county 13,239 inhabitants ( 2010). The formerly swampy area in 1945 released for settlement and gradually drained by the swamps. With the growth of the population, a mayor's office was set up in 1968 in place Killik and the name Kumlu ( dt: Sandy ) official. In 1990, the county Kumlu was formed.
