Good grief Village (Kummer village shooting range before 1945 ) is a district of the official free community Am Mellensee in the Teltow -Flaming (Brandenburg). Until made ​​in 2002 merged with five other neighboring municipalities (large) municipality Am Mellensee Kummersdorf -Gut was an independent municipality within the then Office Am Mellensee.

Geography

Good grief Village is located in the southern part of the municipality of Am Mellensee. It is bordered to the north by grief Village Alexanderdorf and Sperenberg, both districts of Am Mellensee, to the east by Sperenberg, to the south Horstwalde (city Baruth / Mark ) and Schöneberg (municipality Nuthe- glacial valley ), and on the west by Gottow and Schoeneweide (both districts of Nuthe- glacial valley.

History

By 1875, the shooting of the artillery Tegel Examination Commission was transferred to the grief Forst. In 1891 a new Gutsbezirk was created by the removal of 824 acres of Forstgutsbezirks sorrow village, 46 hectares in the municipality of sorrow village and eight hectares in the municipality of Alexander Village. By inclusion of other areas of Kummersdorf Forst, the district increased to initially 911 hectares ( around 1900 ), 1166 hectares (1931 ) to 2240 hectares ( today). Smaller parts, such as the area around the headquarters building were incorporated in 1929 to the Far Neuendorf. The unincorporated Gutsbezirk was initially called grief Village shooting. On the edge of the shooting range a settlement for civil employees, which was renamed in 1945 in Kummersdorf -Gut was born.

At the place was until 1945, the Army Research Center Kummersdorf the Wehrmacht, which ran a development and testing center for new weapons systems there. It now houses the Historical- Technical Museum of the test site sorrow village.

On the site of the former power driving test center ( Verskraft ) Kummer village there was the Technical Museum sorrow village.
