Kunama (also: Baza, Bada etc.)., The language of living in the west of Eritrea in the highlands - Kunama people.
It is spoken by more than 100,000 people and is considered as a separate branch within the Nilo-Saharan language family.
The Kunama has the basic word order subject-object - verb.
In Eritrea Kunama is recognized as one of nine " national languages " which are formally equal - in fact Tigrinya and Arabic have by far the greatest importance as official languages.
