The Nemuro Strait (Japanese根 室 海峡, Nemuro Kaikyo ), also known ( пролив Russian Кунаширский ) as Notsuke - road and road of Kunashir, is a strait between the southernmost Kurileninsel Kunashir (belonging to Russia, claimed by Japan ) and the Shiretoko Peninsula in northeastern Hokkaido.
