Kunming–Singapore Railway

The quick route Kunming - Singapore is an under construction high-speed railway route to standard gauge between Kunming ( China ) and Singapore, via Vientiane ( Laos), Bangkok (Thailand) and Kuala Lumpur ( Malaysia). Scheduled completion is 2020 Template: Future / In 5 years the planned length is 3900 km.

Planned this route since 1900, at that time of the British and French colonialists. Today the route is being built with Chinese money. In Laos are still missing about 425 km between the capital Vientiane and Kunming in China.
