The ART is a German magazine, nationwide magazine that provides information on current topics and current art exhibitions.

Publication, circulation and distribution

The ART magazine 10 times a year published ( double issues: .. . Jul / Aug and Dec / Jan ).. It is bilingual English / German and appears with a monthly circulation of 40,000 copies.

It will be released in Germany, German-speaking Switzerland and Austria. In the first four years, the KUNST Magazin Berlin related content almost exclusively on Berlin. The same was true with the heavily tilted toward Berlin sales. Since January 2010, the magazine called ART magazine.

By February 2007, the ART magazine appeared in Din A6 Format, since the March 2007 issue of the magazine is published in Din A5 format.

The magazine is designed in self- distribution in hotels, galleries, museums and academies. By mail to receive the ART magazine art experts, collectors and art- savvy people in culture, media and politics.

History

The ART magazine was (initially as KUNST Magazin Berlin) founded in April 2006 by Jennifer Becker in Berlin.

Content and themes

The ART magazine is half editorial content such as articles, interviews with artists and collectors, book reviews, and a children's page. The remainder of current exhibitions are presented.

Since 2007, devotes each issue to a specific subject. Until now, the for example the taboo (03 / 08), dignity (02 /09) or vision (02 /10). Since February 2010, also a gallery will be presented in each case. In the back are detailed exhibition announcements to find.

Is completed the print edition by the bilingual website www.art -magazin.de with a daily current exhibition calendar and the entire contents of ART magazine. All back issues are accessible via the archive also stands almost every issue as a PDF download.

Events

Since January 2010, presents and organizes the ART magazine every month a collector discussion in Berlin. For this purpose, an art collector provide the general public for a moderated discussion and questions. Previous guests of this series were Giovanna Stefanel- Stoffel and Maximilian Stoffel (January 2010 ), Thomas Rusche (February 2010), Ivo Wessel (March 2010 ), Thomas Olbricht (April 2010 ), Stephan Balzer ( May 2010), Tommi Brem (June 2010 ) and Christiane zu Salm ( July 2010). Were moderated by Jan Kage collector calls.
