Kunszentmárton
Kunszentmárton is a small Hungarian town and administrative center of the small area Kunszentmárton in Jász -Nagykun -Szolnok.
The village and the surrounding area are known for thermal spas, wine and fruit growing.
Geography
Kunszentmárton covers an area of 143.65 km ². The city is located in the region Észak Great Plain ( Northern Great Plain), 115 km south-east from Budapest. The Körös ( German yelp ) flows from northeast to south through the city.
History
Kunszentmárton received city rights in 1807.
Population
In the city live about 8500 inhabitants. 99% of the population is Hungarian, while 1% indicating belonging to the Roma population.
