Kunwara Baap (Hindi: कुंवारा बाप; translated: a single father ) is a Hindi film directed by Mehmood from 1974, which deals with the disease polio.

Action

Radha gives birth to a child, but as the child 's father Vinod Radha refuses to marry, it shall provide the boy on the stairs of a temple. There, the child of the poor rickshaw driver Mahesh gleaned. He lovingly takes care of the little boy to live with him and gives him the name Hindustan.

Soon it turns out that Hindustan ill due to poor living conditions and lack of hygiene from polio. The doctor admonished Mahesh, who are trying hard to take care of the boy. Here Sheela him to the rescue.

The biological parents regret their action and ask the police to find their missing son Ramesh again. With 12 years Hindustan is reunited with his parents. Nevertheless Mahesh continues to fight for it to keep the boy. But he realizes that Hindustan rich parents can pay the necessary operation and provide him better. After surgery, visit the three rickshaw driver, who then dies.

After Mahesh's death, the actor Mehmood stands up and tells the audience that his death only the camera is used, but the disease polio occurs in real life and can prove fatal. He also calls on parents to vaccinate their children against it.
