Kupres (RS ) ( Serbian Cyrillic Купрес, after the Bosnian war first Srpski Kupres ) is one of the smallest municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located in the western part of the Republika Srpska and was created by the Dayton Agreement of three former districts of the unit Kupres municipality, now part of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The council is based in Novo Selo.

Geography

Novo Selo and Mrđanovci are located on the northern edge of the polje Kupresko at an altitude of 1100 to 1200 m above sea level. Due to the geographical location of Kupres can there be cold in winter to -30 °. However, the summers are here, as throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina quite warm, 40 ° C and more are not uncommon.

Population

Infrastructure

The isolated community is connected by road with one of the 30 km from the neighboring municipality in Republika Srpska, Šipovo, as well as the town, 17 km away Kupres.
