Geographical location

The Kurilenstraße (also first Kurilenstraße, Russian Первый Курильский пролив; Perwy Kurilski proliw; jap占 守 海峡, " Schumschu Street ") is a 12.4 km wide strait between the north-eastern Kurileninsel Schumschu and Cape Lopatka, the southern tip of the Kamchatka Peninsula located. It forms the northern sea route between the Okhotsk Sea and the Pacific Ocean.
