The Kuernach is about 9.4 km long, orographic right or eastern tributary of the Eschach in the Swabian district Upper Allgäu in Bavaria ( Germany ).

Course

The Kuernach springs west of the hamlet of Buchberger Wegscheidel. It flows westward through the same Kürnachtal, the sections the Hohentanner forest and forest Kürnacher from each other. They passed through the hamlet Oberkürnach, Unterkürnach and Häfeli forest belonging to Wiggensbach. North of Schmidsfelden it opens on the border with Baden- Württemberg in there from the south Aitrach inflow Eschach.

The Kuernach is fed by numerous ravines and mountain streams. The natural history of Kuernach is hardly restricted and also an intact riparian vegetation is almost continuously present.

The Kuernach flows between the northern and central part of the Fauna- Flora-Habitat area Kürnacher Forest ( FFH-Nr. 8227-373 ), of which the surfaces in sections up to the brook.
