Kürşad Tüzmen

Kürsad Tüzmen ( born October 9, 1958 in Ankara) is a Turkish politician and Minister of State.

Tüzmen completed his studies in business administration at the University of Technology in the Middle East ( ODTÜ ), after he graduated from the University of Illinois.

He has served as an expert, Head of Section, Deputy Director General, Director General of free trade zones at the State Secretariat for Treasury and Foreign Trade and Deputy Secretary of the State Planning Office, as Secretary of State for Foreign Trade, as President of the Implementation Committee of the Turkish Eximbank and the work study center for the development of exports.

Kürsad Tüzmen was a member of the Adalet ve Kalkınma Partisi ( AKP) for the province of Gaziantep in the 22nd legislative period (October 14, 2002 to July 22, 2007 ) of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey .. In the cabinet Gül and Erdoğan in the first Cabinet, he was Minister of State. Tüzmen 's 2007 Member of the Cabinet of II Erdoğan AKP government under Erdogan, in which he is again Minister of State since 29 August.

Kürsad Tüzmen is responsible for coordinating the construction, engineering and State Secretariat being abroad; he managed:

  • The State Secretariat for Foreign Trade ( DTM )
  • The Directorate-General of the Bank for Export Credits Turkey ( Eximbank )

He belonged to the Turkish national swimming and was a member of the National Olympic Committee of Turkey. In the years 1999, 2000 and 2001 he received the award bureaucrat of the year. Tüzmen speaks English and German, is married and has two children.
