Kurt Adolff

Kurt Adolff ( born November 5, 1921 in Stuttgart, † 24 January 2012) was a German racing driver.

Career

Kurt Adolff took part in a race to the automotive world championship. He started on August 2, 1953 at the Grand Prix of Germany at the Nürburgring for the Swiss Ecurie Espadon on a Ferrari 166 Adolff launched on 27 starting place and fell in the second round.

His greatest success Adolff in sports car racing. In 1950 he was second overall in the German sports car championship. Adolff was a successful industrialist and Consul of Chile. Car race he drove to the end of 1953, he finished his career to increasingly have to worry again about his textile company. In 1952 he turned down the offer of Alfred Neubauer to control a factory Mercedes -Benz in the Carrera Panamericana, as he could not spend several weeks abroad. The contract was Karl Kling, the Adolff bought from his first Veritas.
