Kurt Gloor

Kurt Gloor ( born November 8, 1942 in Zurich, ZH, Switzerland, † September 20, 1997 ) was a Swiss film director.

Life

The son of the insurance inspector Kurt Gloor and his wife Irma, nee Surbeck, graduated in Zurich a graphic teaching and the School of Applied Arts in Zurich. He worked in various studios in Zurich and Vienna, and was a camera assistant in the production of advertising films.

In 1969 he founded the Kurt Gloor film production. From 1969 he was an independent, socially critical filmmaker who initially worked on documentaries such as The Landscape Gardening (1969 ) or The Green Children ( 1971). Until 1972 he led it and the camera. His films were critical with the cliché of a cure Switzerland, polarized the audience.
