Kurt Jara

Kurt Jara ( born October 14, 1950 in Innsbruck ) is a retired Austrian football player and now works as a football coach.

His career began in 1969, the midfielder at FC Wacker Innsbruck in Austria. In 1973 he moved to Spain with Valencia before he played from 1975 to 1980 for MSV Duisburg. He then played one season for FC Schalke 04 and 1981 to 1985 with Grasshoppers Zurich.

In the German Bundesliga, he played 160 games for MSV Duisburg and 31 games for FC Schalke 04 His greatest success was reaching the UEFA Cup semi-final with the MSV Duisburg in 1979.

As the Austrian national team, he participated in Argentina and in Spain in 1982 at the World Cup finals in 1978. In 59 international matches Kurt Jara scored 15 goals.

His coaching career began in 1986 in Switzerland Grasshoppers Zurich. More coach stations in Switzerland were FC St. Gallen ( 1988-91 ) and FC Zurich ( 1991-94 ). In the 1994/95 season he was coach of the Austrian club VfB Mödling. More coach stations were the Greek club Xanthi ( 1996-97), APOEL Nicosia (Cyprus, 1997-98 ) and FC Tirol Innsbruck ( 1999-2001) where after ten years he brought his home club for the first time the title back to Innsbruck, which he also achieved in the following two years, and also great deal of success were brought to Innsbruckern again. From October 2001 to October 2003 Kurt Jara was coach of Hamburger SV, from February 2004 to April 2005, he coached the 1st FC Kaiserslautern; both clubs dismissed because of failure Jara. From July 2005 to the end of the season 2005/ 06 he worked for FC Red Bull Salzburg. On 19 May 2006 he was on leave and subsequently replaced by the new coaching duo of Giovanni Trapattoni and Lothar Matthäus ( Red Bull boss Dietrich Mateschitz had the ex-team player at that time because of " inconsistencies in player transfers " the door rejected ).

2007 limited the maintainer activity Jaras on appearances as the Bruno - Pezzey Memorial Tournament in Sölden, where he officially served as coach of the " Bruno - Pezzey - Star Team ". Kurt Jara - for more than three years after his banishment from Red Bull - still looking for a job as a coach.

Meanwhile, several processes deal with this case. In a process, the Salzburg Regional Court dismissed the action by Kurt Jara against Red Bull Salzburg on revocation and failure in October 2007. Red Bull boss Dietrich Mateschitz was allowed to continue to accuse the Tyrolean football coach " inconsistencies in player transfers ". That in consequence of Mateschitz strained against Jara case was closed in September 2009, after months of surveys, by the prosecution Salzburg and Jara thus relieved of the charge of said inconsistencies.

In another process, the Salzburg court dismissed in February 2008 from the dismissal of appeals against Jara; the now 59- year-old had his dismissal challenged with the argument would be for him as a regular employee special protective provisions of the Labour Relations Act apply. According to the ruling, however, there is this additional option for dismissal dispute not because Jara was a senior executive opinion of the Court.
