Kurt-Tucholsky-Preis

The Kurt Tucholsky Prize is a German award for literary journalism.

The Kurt Tucholsky Award for " dedicated and concise language works of literary journalism " was first in 1995 and is awarded every two years by the Kurt Tucholsky Company and ( until 2003) the Kurt Tucholsky Foundation awarded to journalists or journalists since 1997 that are " committed to the small forms ' such as essay, satire, song, grotesque, treatise or pamphlet. [ ... ] Their lyrics are intended to test reality in the sense Tucholsky, discover backgrounds and help the reader to a critical sentencing '.

The prize was donated on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the death of Kurt Tucholsky and is currently endowed with 3,000 euros. The Kurt Tucholsky Foundation participated in 2003 for the last time in the financing of the price.
