Kurt Welzl

Kurt Welzl ( born November 6, 1954 in Vienna ) is a retired Austrian football player.

Career

His former position was center forward, where he was feared above all as a scorer and because of his dribbling skills. Kurt Welzl, who scored his first top-flight for the Wiener Sport - Club, was known in particular during his time with the SSW Innsbruck in 1974 to 1979. In Innsbruck he won a total of two championships and twice the OFB Cup. He then moved to abroad: With AZ Alkmaar 1981, he was Dutch champion and cup winner, missed only two matches the top scorer and made ​​it to the UEFA Cup final.
