Kurzeszyn

Kurzeszyn is a village in Poland, belonging to the rural commune ( gmina wiejska ) Rawa Mazowiecka. It is located in the powiat Rawski in the region of Łódź.

Geography

It is located in the center of the country - about 80 kilometers south-west of the state capital Warsaw on the River Rawka.

The village has about 650 inhabitants.

History

The first written mention of the village dates from the first half of the 15th century, but the settlement in Kurzeszyn is much older: about 100 meters near the present village is a castle wall from the 12th century.
