Kusa, Russia

Koussa (Russian Куса ) is a city in Chelyabinsk Oblast (Russia) with 18,792 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010 ).

Geography

The city is located on the western flank of the Southern Urals about 180 km west of the Oblasthauptstadt Chelyabinsk at the mouth of Koussa in the Ai, a left tributary of the Ufa river system in the Kama.

Koussa is the administrative center of the homonymous Rajons.

The city lies on the which opened in 1916, originally West -Ural Railway mentioned railway Kalino ( at Tschussowoi ) Druschinino - Berdjausch.

History

Koussa was born in 1778 in connection with the establishment of ironworks Kussinski Sawod and received on January 18, 1943 city law.
