Kvint

Kvint (short for Russian Коньяки, вина и напитки Тирасполя / Konjaki, vina i napitki Tiraspolja ) is a wine and spirits company based in Tiraspol, Transnistria. The company is best known for his internationally successful Brandy (Cognac).

The population of Transnistria sees Kvint a kind of national symbol. Thus, the factory can be seen at about the 5 - ruble note of the Transnistrian ruble.

History

Founded as the factory in 1897 and is thus one of the oldest existing to date business enterprises in the region. The annual production of alcoholic beverages is about 10 million liters.

Main product is the brandy or cognac. The factory also fills from wine and also produces several of its own vodkas. Kvint is considered one of the largest exporters of Transnistria.

The production and work process of the factory up to Western standards. So Kvint was the ISO certificates 9001-94 in 2000 and ISO 9001-2000 in 2003 to back up. In addition, the Kvint factory operates one of the few distilleries kosher in the former Soviet Union.

In 2006 the company was bought by the company also located in Transnistria Sheriff Group, but will continue to operate as an independent subsidiary.
