The Kvíslavatn is a lake of 12 km in length in the highlands of Iceland. It is located at 605 m above sea-level Its area is 20 km ².
Geography
The lake is located in the west of Sprengisandur highland road southeast of the Hofsjökull.
The Kvíslavatn belongs to a chain of four interconnected lakes in the area of Þjórsáver and is its largest. These lakes incurred in connection with the damming of the river Þjórsá from 1980.
