Kwame Ayew

Kwame Ayew ( born December 28, 1973 in Accra ) is a former Ghanaian football player.

Kwame Ayew is the younger brother of the legendary Ghanaian footballer Abédi FIFA 100, Pelé. He is technically not well-versed, but compensates for this by its speed and high physical capacity. He is a classic counter- striker.

Club career

His career as a footballer began Kwame Ayew 1990 the Ivorian club Africa Sports of Abidjan. But this year he moved to FC Metz in France. After Ghana won the third place in the football tournament at the Olympics in Barcelona in 1992, he was hired by Al -Ahli from Saudi Arabia. There he played so successful that it attracted the attention of the Italian club U.S. Lecce. After two less successful years in Serie A. Ayew moved to Portugal, where he was only substitute in his first season at União Leiria. According to another better year for Vitória Setúbal he was obliged by the top club Boavista Porto, with whom he had two very successful years. Nevertheless, he moved to league rivals Sporting Lisbon. When he was less successful here, he wandered after just one season to further Yozgatspor in Turkey. But even here, it did not keep him long, so he moved on to Kocaelispor. In 2003 he then moved to the Chinese league to Shenyang Ginde. From 2004 to 2006 he played for Xi'an Chanba until 2005, the club was known as Shanghai International. He was also top scorer in 2005.

In January 2007, Ayew switched to Vitória Setúbal, where he signed until end of season and after ended his career.

As a national player

1992 won Kwame Ayew its most important international award when he won the bronze medal at the Olympics with Ghana. In the senior team, he completed between 1992 and 2001 a total of 69 matches in which he was able to achieve 36 goals.
