Kwan (Band)

Kwan is a Finnish pop and hip- hop group that sings in English. Their most successful songs and Late Rain.

Band History

Kwan was born from an idea by Antti Eräkangas and Pauli Rantasalmi, guitarist of The Rasmus. Following the publication of their third studio album Hell of a Tester, the members of The Rasmus himself had decided to make pure rock music and omit playful elements and excursions into other genres such as funk, reggae and hip-hop from their songs. Thereupon Rantasalmi decided to start with Eräkangas a band in which he was not into the scheme of The Rasmus process suitable ideas. With Ossi Tidiane Ba aka " Tidjan " there was also a singer quickly.

The debut album of Kwan Dynasty originated in Rantasalmis small Soundgrotto studio. In an interview with Finnish magazine Soundi Rantasalmi told that Kwan was time for "real" Hip- Hoper a kind of dirty word, as the music contained melodic singing.   • Amara Doumbouya ( born April 13, 1975 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast) is at the turntables. He is CEO of Finnish Urban Entertainment and co-founder of R & B Cafe. Private Doumbouya is father of two children.
  • Ossi Tidiane Ba aka " Tidjan " ( born November 21, 1978 in Helsinki) is one of two MC Kwan.
  • Mari Liisa Pajalathi aka " Mariko " ( born March 15, 1979 in Varkaus ) is also MC. They used to play violin and performed in musicals. In the spring of 2007, she participated in the second season of Tanssii Tähtien kanssa, the Finnish version of Strictly Come Dancing, and won it with dance partner Aleksi Seppänen.
  • Juho - Kustaa Sakari Kaukoniemi aka " Kusti " ( born December 17, 1979 in Kemi ) is the bass player of the rock band Kwan and Clark Kent.
  • Risto Rikala ( born March 26, 1979 in Kotka ) is the drummer of Kwan.
  • Tatu Alexis Viljami Ferchen (* August 4, 1975 in Kajaani ) is the keyboardist for the pop band Kwan and Hemma Beast. He has one child.
