Kwesi Ahoomey-Zunu

ARTHEME Kwesi Séléagodji Ahoomey - Zunu ( born December 1, 1958 in Lomé ) is a Togolese politician. Since July 23, 2012, he is Prime Minister of Togo.

Ahoomey - Zunu attended high school in Tokoin, a district of Lomé. He has a master's degree in law in international relations ( Droit des Relations internationales ) and diplomas in public law and spatial planning.

He is a member of the founded by Edem Kodjo Convergence patriotique Panafricaine (CPP ). From 1988 to 1994 he was secretary of the National Human Rights Commission ( CNDH ). In the years 1994-1999 Ahoomey - Zunu was a member of the National Assembly from 1993 to 2005 he was a member of the Independent National Electoral Commission, its president from 2000 to 2002. Ahoomey - Zuno was from September 2006 to December 2007 in the cabinet of Yawovi Agboyibo Minister of Territorial Administration, from March 2011 to July 2012 he was Minister for trade and private sector development. From January 2008 to July 2012 he was Secretary General of the President.

On July 11, 2012, Prime Minister Gilbert Houngbo after protests against the planned by his government amendment to the electoral law for his resignation. Ahoomey - Zunu was appointed as the new Prime Minister by President Faure Gnassingbe on July 19 and took office on 23 July. On July 31, he presented his comprehensive Cabinet 31 people.
