KY Cygni

KY Cygni is a red giant ( spectral class m3m ) in the constellation Cygnus. He is one of the largest known stars with approximately 1420 times the sun diameter. In addition, he is also one of the brightest stars with a luminosity, which corresponds to about 300,000 times the sun. Its distance is about 5200 light years.

The part of the name " KY " follows the rules for naming variable stars and states that KY Cygni is the 258te variable star, which was discovered in the constellation Cygnus.
