The Kyi Leo is not recognized by the FCI breed of dog in the United States.

Origin and History

From 1950 began breeders in the area of ​​San Francisco with crossings of Maltese and Lhasa Apso. The result liked: a small, handsome dog with temperament. In 1965, a woman Linn developed the breed further decisive. 1969 met the breeder and gave the breed the name Kyi Leo ( kyi Tibetan for dog, Leo is Latin for lion ).

Description

The Kyi Leo is a small dog with 20-30 cm. The coat is long, but not enough as the Maltese on the floor. It should be just curled up slightly, in black and white, gold and white, and monochrome, with some fades black to slate gray.
