The National Economics University of Kiev (Ukrainian Київський національний економічний університет імені Вадима Гетьмана; s: Kiev National University of Economics ( KNEU ) ) is a Ukrainian university in Kiev.

Overview

In 1992 it was renamed founded in 1906 " School of Economics " in " State Economic University Kyiv". In 1997, she was initially renamed " National Economic University Kyiv". After the violent death of a Ukrainian politician and financial expert Wadym Hetman in 1998, the college was named after this addition.

Since 1990, a scientific collaboration with the University of Konstanz takes place. Since 2000 there is the Ukrainian- German graduate program " Master of International Economics ". Even with the Philipps- University Marburg there since 2000 an extended cooperation agreement.

The University offers four -year undergraduate and one-to two -year Master courses and two - to three-year post-graduate and doctoral studies ( PhD) in the context of economics and management. The teaching and research activities are spread over 64 departments, including at the University of 38 chairs, at the Economic Institute Krivoy Rog 16 and at the Krymskyj Fakultet 10 chairs. Taught at the university and learned among other things the mathematician and economist Eugene Slutsky ( Slutsky decomposition ), the mathematician and number theorist Dmitri Grawe ( 1863-1939 ), the Pathophysiologist Olexandr Bohomolez ( 1881-1946 ), the writer Pavlo Tychyna ( 1891-1967 ), the director and writer Olexandr Dovzhenko, the director and writer Yuri Smolytsch.
