Kyle Bartley (2010)

Kyle Louis Bartley (born 22 May 1991, Manchester ) is an English footballer who is since 2012 in Swansea City under contract for the 2013/14 season, however playing on loan at Birmingham City.

Career

Association

Kyle Bartley was born in Manchester and went at the age of 14 years to Bolton Wanderers. On 31 July 2007, he joined the youth academy of Arsenal FC. With the Academy team, he won the FA Youth Cup in 2008 /09.

On 9 December 2009, the Arsenal was qualified in Group H already for the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League 2009/10. Therefore, coach Arsène Wenger for the last group game against Olympiakos Piraeus a lot of young homegrown players from the reserve team. So he came to his first professional game he played over the full 90 minutes. In February 2010, was awarded to the end of the season at Sheffield United, to strengthen the defense of the " Blades". There he was used regularly and completed until he returned to FC Arsenal 14 games.

For the 2010/11 season he was loaned back to Sheffield United for a season. In September, he broke off after a clash with Nottingham Forest striker Dele Adebola cheekbone. After failing a few months, he was able to win back his place in the team, came up in January 2011 with Neill Collins a new coach at the Bramall Lane. Then asked Bartley to be leaving Sheffield because he feared for his place. The club came to his request and he was presented on the last day of the winter transfer window to the Scottish club Glasgow Rangers. On March 6, 2011 in a 1-0 victory over FC St. Mirren, he scored his first goal for the Rangers, and thus also his first ever goal at all.

After a ligament injury that sat him for the rest of the season out of action, he returned to Arsenal. The Rangers opted for a more Einjahresleihe.

For the 2012/13 season Bartley moved to Swansea City. In his new employer, he signed a three- year contract until 30 June 2015. With Swansea he won the League Cup in 2012/13.

On July 2, 2013 he was loaned for a year at Birmingham City.

National

On November 9, 2006, he received his first cap for the England U-16 national team against Northern Ireland. Until April 28, 2007 or four caps were added. In 2008 he competed in the period February-March three caps for the U- 17 team.
