Kyle Clifford

Kyle Clifford (born 13 January 1991 Ayr, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who plays for the Los Angeles Kings in the National Hockey League since October 2010.

Career

Clifford played in the 2006/07 season, first at the Cambridge Hawks before he was in the OHL Priority Selection 2007 selected in the second round by 37 out of the Barrie Colts. For the Colts, he was active in the following three game years.

After he had signed an entry-level contract with the Los Angeles Kings in September 2009, which had previously selected him in the NHL Entry Draft in 2009 in the second round to 35th, he received in the spring of 2010, some assignments in the American Hockey League with the Manchester Monarchs. The Monarchs were at that time, the farm team of the Kings in the American Hockey League. For the 2010/11 season Clifford received a place in the NHL squad of the Los Angeles Kings.

Internationally

Clifford represented his native Canada at the U18 World Youth Championship 2009. Doing so, he took the team to fourth place. In six tournament games, he remained no points and received 16 penalty minutes.
