Kyle Okposo

Kyle Okposo ( born April 16, 1988 in St. Paul, Minnesota ) is an American professional ice hockey player standing since 2008 with the New York Islanders in the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Kyle Okposo first played from 2004 to 2005 for the ice hockey team of the St. Mary's Shattuck in the high school league system of the United States. He then went for the Des Moines Buccaneers on the ice, for which he was active in the 2005/06 season in the United States Hockey League. He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2006 in the first round as a whole seventh player from the New York Islanders. First, the attacker played one and a half years for the team from the University of Minnesota, was then used during the season with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League. Eventually he gave at the end of the 2007/08 season his debut for the Islanders in the National Hockey League. The season 2008/ 09 he spent entirely with the Islanders.

Internationally

For the U.S., Okposo took part in the Junior World Championships in 2007 and 2008. He also played at the World Championships in 2009, 2010 and 2012.
