Kyoto Jazz Massive is a Japanese music project consisting of the two brothers Okino Shuya and Yoshihiro Okino. To link house sounds and break- beats with jazz and funk elements or Bossa Nova. It is classical instrumentation ( Fender Rhodes, bass, drums ) fused with electronic elements and with vocals. In short, you can assign the nu-jazz genre the band.
1994 Kyoto Jazz Massive her first compilation was published, attracted attention worldwide. In 2000, the duo signed a record deal with the label Munich Compost Records and released there in 2002, the debut album Spirit of the Sun. The brothers are in clubs all over the world as a sought-after DJs on the go.
