Kyren Wilson

Kyren Wilson (born 23 December 1991 in Northamptonshire ) is an English snooker player.

Career

Wilson's biggest success at junior level were victories in the U18 Silver Waistcoat Tour in 2005 and 2006. His first maximum break, he scored in 2009.

2007 /08 to 2009/10 took Wilson each at the Pontin's International Open Series ( DIOS ), the former qualifying tournament series for the Snooker Main Tour, part. After 57 or 45 only occupies space in the first two seasons, he won his third DIOS - season, the sixth of the eight tournaments ( 6-4 against Liam Highfield ), so that he ends as a fifth of the overall ranking for the Main Tour 2010/ 11 had qualified.

Lack of good results, he lost his professional status but again right after his debut season. He scored his best results in the PTC series 2010/11 with the two-time reaching the round of last 32 For full ranking tournaments he did not come through the round of last 64. A direct re- qualification through Q School did not succeed.

In the season 2011/12 he took - again as an amateur - in all 12 tournaments in the PTC series part. With victories over the pros Ben Woollaston, Tian Pengfei, Michael Holt and Joe Perry, he reached the quarterfinals of the Kay Suzanne Memorial Trophy 2011 (PTC 7). In the other tournaments he never came over the round of last 64. At the end, he finished as the second best amateur to Craig Steadman number 72 of the PTC Order of Merit.

In order to qualify for the 2012/13 snooker season, Wilson reported back in to the tournaments of Q School. After his first-round victory at the first event he lost in the second round to eventual champion Chen Zhe. In the following two events he lost each of his first match.
