L'Auditori

L' Auditori ( Catalan for ' Auditorium ') is a modern building complex of 42,000 m² extent in Barcelona in Catalonia.

The Auditori was designed by architect Rafael Moneo and opened on 22 March 1999. It is the center of the new urban development project at the Plaça de les Glories, at which the three axes of the city to meet: Avinguda Diagonal, Gran Via and Meridiana. The Auditori is used for musical performances.

In the same complex are also premises of the Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya (, Symphony Orchestra of Barcelona and National Orchestra of Catalonia '), the Escola Superior de Música de Barcelona ( University of Music Barcelona ') and the Museu de la Música (, Museum of Music '). All this makes the Auditori a center of the music scene of the city.

The building has three premises:

  • Sala 2 Oriol Martorell - 600 seats
  • Sala 3 Tete Montoliu - 400 seats
