The Young at Heart ( Original title: L' avventura ) is a twisted black and white Italian - French drama film directed by Michelangelo Antonioni. Due to its exceptional cinematic language he is considered a milestone of European cinema and, together with The Night and Love 1962 trilogy.

Action

A small group of members of the Italian upper class embarks on a trip to the small Aeolian island of Lisca Bianca. Among them is the young architect Sandro, his girlfriend Anna and her friend Claudia. After a dispute with Sandro Anna suddenly disappears, and the group embarks on a search for her, but without find.

During the search, Sandro and Claudia get closer, though Claudia Sandro rejects overtures scared. After the police were involved unsuccessful, the group, Sandro and Claudia want to pursue a reference to Anna's whereabouts on the mainland separates. During their search for Anna in the whole of Sicily is a love affair between the two, which is equivalent to a roller-coaster ride ensues. All references in their search turn out to be wrong.

Background

The production of the play with the love was accompanied by many problems: During the filming on Lisca Bianca the production company went bankrupt.
