L- selectride is a sterically hindered and thus a selective reducing agent for ketones and trademark of Sigma- Aldrich for lithium tri-sec -butyl (hydrido ) borate. It is available as a solution in THF. The brand name is in common parlance clearer than the systematic name. It finds its application for example in Permutationsreaktion.
