L. Wolfe Gilbert

Louis Wolfe Gilbert ( born August 31, 1886 in Odessa, † 13 July 1970 Los Angeles ) was an American composer of Russian origin, who came to the U.S. at the age of one year.

He composed the waltz 1927 Ramona, the Blue Diamonds had with the foxtrot as 1960 a great success.
