La Barillette

La Barillette is a 1528 m high mountain in the Swiss Jura above Nyon. Geographically it belongs to La Dole massif, its summit is the La Dole upstream east.

He is wooded to the summit. Below the summit there is a restaurant. There used to be a ski lift, which opened up from Saint- CERGUE from the slopes, today one can see the remains because there are only younger vegetation there.

The view from the top extends to the Lake Geneva and to the Savoy Alps.

Sports

The area is a popular sport terrain for hiking, bicycle sports ( mountain bikers and racers ), as bike course for the triathlon and for paragliding.
