La Buisse

La Buisse is a commune with 2886 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011 ) in the department of Isère, in the Rhône -Alpes; it belongs to the administrative district in the canton of Grenoble and Voiron.

• 2.1 Population development

Geography

The municipality is situated approximately 20 kilometers north- west of Grenoble and 80 kilometers south-east of Lyon in the valley of the Isère at termination from the high altitudes of the Regional Natural Park of Chartreuse in the basin. Neighboring communities of La Buisse are:

• Coublevie in the north,
• Saint -Julien -de- Raz in the Northeast,
• Pommiers la Placette in the east,
• Voreppe in the south and
• Saint -Jean -de- Moirans in the West.

The Isère itself shall not affect the municipality, but runs through the southern neighboring communities.

Transport links

Also running in the Isèretal high-level transport connections touching La Buisse hardly. Only in the extreme southwest crosses the A48 motorway for a distance of about 1.5 kilometers, the municipality, the place itself is located to the north and is connected by the D121 road to the highway department. The D1075 ( Voreppe to Voiron ) leads through the village.
